Recently, I attended the Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV) annual conference (DigiCon) at ACMI in Federation Square, Melbourne. I took my digital recorder along with the view to capturing some quick sound bites with Keynote presenters and attendees on a range of topics - from AI, creativity to digital literacy and device use. Gus and I were thrilled to chat to Michael Rosenbrock, who, with Dr Simon Breakspear, has co-authored the new book The Pruning Principle! Imagine as a leader or classroom teacher examining practice and subtracting instead of adding? The Pruning Principle challenges us to look at what we do and examine the effectiveness of our pedagogies and ask the critical question - are we getting bang for our buck? She has clinical interests in the health needs of the vulnerable child, with expertise in child development and behaviour and research interests in child public health, parenting and lifestyle related health issues.
